What to Expect When You Take Your Kids to A Dentist
When you take your kids to a dentist, you're not getting some watered-down quality of care. The care we give your children is the same quality of care that we would give you, but we're bundling it up in a gentle package and presenting it to your child in a non-threatening, friendly manner. Clear Communication for Little Ears. Adults tend to have a good idea of what is going to happen when they go to the dentist. We know that we may require x-rays, or that our dentist may use a loud, mechanical toothbrush to polish our teeth. Kids do not automatically understand these things, which is why we take the time to carefully and clearly explain every single thing we are going to do to help take care of their smile.

Just because your child's permanent teeth haven't grown, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't get an early start on establishing good dental health care habits. Having a healthy smile isn't just important for big, happy grins; neglecting your teeth as a child can impair learning how to eat properly and may even change the shape of your face as your teeth and jaw develop.
